How does the browser resolve IPNS CID for IPFS-hosted websites?

I came across the documentation mentioning that Protocol Labs' websites are hosted in IPFS and served through IPNS. I understand that the IPNS CID is added to the DNS Text Record of the domain, but I'm curious about how the browser knows how to resolve that CID. Can someone provide a walkthrough explaining this process?

To resolve the CIDs (Content Identifiers) in IPFS, you can refer to the following documentation: IPFS DNSLink. This resource provides detailed information on how to configure DNSLink for IPFS.

It is important to note that the support for IPFS in web browsers is currently limited, with the exception of the Brave browser. In Brave, the resolution of CIDs is handled by Kubo or the IPFS companion.

Please keep in mind that while IPFS is not widely supported in browsers, there are ongoing efforts to improve its compatibility and integration.
